Collaborative support

Personalised from the start

One person.
One pace. One plan.

Good support begins with understanding what matters to you.

Socially Speaking offers online 1:1 sessions that are tailored to the person rather than built around a generic checklist. Goals may relate to communication, emotional wellbeing, social connection, participation, independence or navigating everyday demands.

The team considers your preferences, support needs and current clinician availability before discussing a suitable pathway. Therapy is collaborative, practical and designed to fit into real life.

A connected view of support

Your priorities guide the shape of therapy.

These diagrams show how different goals can connect and how support can evolve through conversation, practice and review. They are a guide to the process—not a fixed treatment plan.

Support map

Your goals sit at the centre.

One goal can touch several parts of everyday life, so support does not need to fit into a single box.

Collaborative cycle

Support can adapt with you.

Goals and strategies are shaped together, tried in real life and reviewed as needs or priorities change.

Possible benefits of therapy

Small shifts can connect to everyday life.

Therapy is not a straight line or a promise of a particular outcome. It can create space to understand yourself, explore useful strategies and work towards goals that feel meaningful to you.

How it works

Begin with a conversation.

  1. 01

    Share what you need

Tell the team who you are enquiring for, what support you are seeking and what matters most right now.

  2. 02

    Discuss fit and availability

The team reviews your enquiry and talks through suitable disciplines, clinicians, fees and practical details.

  3. 03

    Shape goals together

If the service is a good fit, your first sessions help build a shared understanding of priorities and next steps.

Warm, qualified support

Care that sees the whole person.

Socially Speaking is an online, inclusive practice supporting neurodivergent people and families. The multidisciplinary team brings experience across communication, mental health, participation and social connection.

Support is strengths-based and person-centred. The aim is not to make someone appear less neurodivergent, but to build understanding, practical strategies, confidence and meaningful participation.

Meet the Socially Speaking team

Before you enquire

1:1 Therapy FAQs.

Current clinician availability, fees, funding and individual suitability are confirmed by the Socially Speaking team.

Is one-on-one therapy online?

Yes. Socially Speaking is a telehealth practice and sessions are delivered online, allowing you to join from a familiar space. The team confirms the practical details before your first appointment.

Which therapy discipline is right for me?

That depends on your goals, preferences and the type of support you are seeking. Your enquiry helps the team consider whether counselling, psychology, occupational therapy, speech pathology or another pathway may be the best fit.

Who can enquire?

Socially Speaking supports neurodivergent children, teenagers, young adults, adults and families. Age, goals, clinician fit and current availability are discussed during intake.

What happens after I submit the form?

The team reviews your enquiry and contacts you to discuss your goals, suitable services, clinician availability, fees and next steps. Submitting the form does not guarantee that a particular clinician or discipline is immediately available.

Can NDIS funding be used?

Funding arrangements depend on the participant's plan, goals, management type and the service provided. The team can discuss current fees and whether the proposed support may align with self-managed or plan-managed funding; final use remains subject to the participant's plan.
